Yorkville Cellars Cabernet Franc 2007 is from Yorkville Highlands AVA in Mendocino County, California. The grapes are organically certified. The wine delivers fruit of blueberry, blackberry and boysenberry along with green peppers and herbal notes. It is enticingly juicy yet dry. Surprisingly complex for a single varietal expression. 92 points.

Our Cab Franc is typically a favorite of our wine club. It is grown in our organic Rennie Vineyard along the entrance to our tasting room. We have enjoyed making it and this our 13th straight vintage. To the Cabernet Franc 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot were added to increase complexity and richness for a pleasing result. The wine was aged for 19 months in Bordeaux barrels. It won a Gold Medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Cheers!
