Lucky me! Last January I visited some of the best wineries in NZ and these guys were on the list. After swimming with wild dolphins in Kaikoura, it’s a short 2-hour drive to visit the winery. The staff is wonderful and friendly (but then, everyone in NZ seems to be that way). Their Pinots are wonderful and the fact that they’re 100% organic and apply responsible farming practices, won my heart and palate over.
Hi Cinde:
You are indeed lucky – dolphins, pinots, organics – sounds like some sort of nirvana. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us at OWR. Makes me want to get on a plane to NZ. I’ll settle for popping a cork on a Kawarau Pinot instead!
Cheers,
Brent (Avg. Wine Guy)
