Domaine Rimbert Le Chant de Marjolaine Carignan 2008
Sweet raspberry pencil lead
Category: organic grapes (uncertified), red wine
Tags: carignan, France, Languedoc-Roussillon
The south of France is home to the Languedoc and Le Chant de Marjolaine Carignan 2008. The wine is made from organic grapes. Smells of pencil lead, licorice and raspberry. It is sweet, oaky, charcoal, lots of fruit on the nose. The Savvy Sommelier almost had a “Meg Ryan moment”. An outstanding pairing with lamb – which is nice, unless you are the lamb. 89 Points.
